Breweries

  • Yamagata

    Dewazakura Sake Brewery

Dewazakura Sake Brewery was founded in 1892 by Seijiro Nakano, who established a branch family. In 1980, the brewery released their signature Oka Ginjo sake. They released this sake out of a desire to “share the excellence of ginjo sake with many people” and they take pride in contributing to the popularization of ginjo sake. They value an approach to making sake in which customers can feel the warmth of the makers.
  • Tokyo

    Ozawa Shuzo Co., Ltd. (Sawanoi)

Founded in 1702 in the village of Bushu-Sawai, which was on the route linking Edo and Koshu. For more than 300 years since then, they have been cherished as the local sake of Okutama, Tokyo. The sake brand name Sawanoi comes from the village called Sawai, named after abundant water flowing as a stream.
  • Hiroshima

    Kamoizumi Sake Brewery

Founded in 1912, transforming from a rice dealer into a sake brewer. The name of the sake combines “Kamo,” the name of the surrounding area, with “izumi,” which means “spring,” referring to the pure water that is essential to making sake. Beginning more than 50 years ago, before any other brewery in Japan, they devoted their efforts to reviving junmai sake brewed only with rice and rice koji (Rice malt), and they continue working to educate people and expand its popularity.
