TENZAN SAKE BREWERY
Brewery's commitments to sake making

- Immutability and Fluidity; Good Alcohol In The Spirit of Japan
- Honoring the spirit of "fueki ryuko" (immutability and fluidity) to the fullest, in accordance to "immutability," we strive to brew sake with a standard for quality that makes the greatest use of the natural blessings of Ogi, which we have treasured since our founding; for "fluidity,"we would like to attempt new innovations to go along with the times, without fear of failure.
History and culture of the brewery

- Choice Sake In The Land of Fireflies and Famous Water
- We have been running a sake brewery at the foothills of Mt. Tenzan, on the banks of Gion River in Ogi City, Saga Prefecture, for over 145 years. TIn the midst of this area blessed with lush natural surroundings, the Gion River which flows by in front of the brewery is a clear stream that collects water from the Tenzan Mountain Range, and is one of the few areas in the country for genji-botaru fireflies. The Tenzan Brewer's Rice Cultivation Research Society, founded in 1998 by farmers in Saga Prefecture, grows Yamada Nishiki rice under contract.
An Ideal Famous Source of Water

Cool and clear underground water that springs forth from the mountainside of Mt. Tenzan.
Kiyomizu Waterfall, which this underground water flows down, has also been selected as one of the 100 Best Sources of Water in Japan, and is a precious water without which Tenzan Sake Brewery could not exist.
This water is a medium-hard water which contains no iron content, but plenty of minerals such as calcium and magnesium.
