Nagaihonke
Brewery's commitments to sake making

- The traditional taste that takes time and effort to create
- This delicious sake from Gunma Prefecture is brewed using natural high quality soft water and carefully selected rice – including local koshihikari rice – and is the result of the brewers making great efforts to follow the traditions of hand-made brewing.
In order to bring you this delicious taste, we continue to adhere to the unstinting efforts and long-standing traditions that we believe are the source of great sake.
History and culture of the brewery

- Sake brewing, Nagai Honke–style
- Despite being a large scale operation, the brewery, where the fifth generation of brewers were learning their trade, was a place where no efforts were spared in making great sake. That deep experience, combined with the bag-squeezing that only a small brewery can do, is now the strength of the operation.
The beech forest where our water comes from

This is a region of great natural riches, including water. To the north of our company premises are the Tambara Highlands, with their extensive beech forests. The Highlands also contain marshland where alpine plants such as day lily and skunk cabbage can be seen, and where the views change from season to season.
An abundance of delicious foods

The rice from this region is delicious, thanks to the large daily differences in temperature. There are many farms where you can pick your own fruit and vegetables from June to December each year. And, of course, there is the wonderful sake.
