Brewery's commitments to sake making
- This brewery relocated to Hokkaido for its cooler climate. It uses the rich underground water sourced from the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range to brew its sake. The small size of the brewery allows it to take its time to meticulously brew its sake while keeping an eye on every step of the process.
History and culture of the brewery
- Despite its small size
- all products here are brewed with the same techniques, expensive and inexpensive sake alike. No brewery can be considered a good brewery if its inexpensive sake does not taste good. This brewery is committed to the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
Spring water and rice cultivation
Higashikawa is a town at the foot of the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range that is famous for its spring water and rice fields. The town has no artificial water supply as it relies on its rich underground water. All the residents in this town draw their water from wells. It is a major rice-producing area in Hokkaido that takes advantage of its abundant water resources.
Making use of water
Many cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, etc., have relocated to and established themselves in this town to harness its rich, pristine water. They make the most of the abundant water and rice offered by Higashikawa.
