About the live rice planting

We will be live streaming the sake-making process over the next year. In this episode, we will start with the planting of rice seedlings to grow the rice for making sake. Watch how the seedlings are planted by hand, which is unusual these days. Also see what the farmer sees when he drives the rice-planting machine.

The ingredient of all Japanese sake is "rice."
In this project, you can participate online with Izumibashi Shuzo to learn, drink, and experience the important processes for delicious sake brewing, from the cultivation of sake rice to brewing.
