Sake×Tea Jelly

Sake×Tea Jelly
Simply combine sake with tea for this simple but absolutely delicious recipe!
Sake retains its umami notes even after it is mixed with tea, allowing you to enjoy the aroma of both tea and sake at the same time.
The distinctive bitter taste of sake creates a greater depth of flavor when combined with tea.

【Ingredients】

・Sake (100ml)
・English tea (100ml)
・Gelatin (5g)
・Water (for dissolving the gelatin) (50ml)

【Preparation method】

1. Mix the sake and the tea in a bowl in a 1:1 (100ml:100ml) ratio.
(50ml of hot water is used to dissolve 5g of gelatin. The amount shown on the left is for 200ml of liquid.)
2. Dissolve the gelatin in the hot water in a different bowl. Stir well to prevent lumps from forming.
3. Mix the contents of the bowls from Steps 1 and 2.
4. Chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours or until the jelly is firm.
5. Use a fork to break up the jelly in the way you prefer.
6. Serve on a plate.

The trick to making a delicious drink!

Put the broken up jelly in a glass and add sparkling water to it to create a drink with an interesting texture!
If you plan to use the jelly in a drink, we recommend sweetening it with honey or other sweeteners when making the jelly! Alternatively, you can use lemonade instead of sparkling water for the drink!
